WonderFi has unveiled a strategic partnership between its subsidiary, Bitbuy Technologies Inc., and Localcoin, Canada's leading Bitcoin ATM provider. This collaboration aims to enhance Bitbuy’s digital asset services, significantly expanding their reach across nearly half of the Bitcoin ATMs in Canada. With 2,747 ATMs, Canada ranks second globally, only behind the U.S., in the crypto ATM sector.

Bitbuy and Localcoin Collaboration

As part of WonderFi Technologies, Bitbuy, alongside other subsidiaries like Coinsquare and CoinSmart, already facilitates regulated crypto trading and staking for 1.6 million Canadians. The partnership with Localcoin marks a pivotal step in extending Bitbuy’s services to more users, leveraging Localcoin's extensive network of 920 ATMs, which captures 33% of the Canadian crypto ATM market.

Canada's Growing Influence in Crypto

Despite regulatory challenges in other regions, Canada remains committed to advancing its digital asset infrastructure. The partnership announcement follows Coinbase's recent entry into the Canadian market, emphasizing the country's ongoing interest and potential leadership in the global crypto economy. Despite Binance's earlier exit, these developments reflect a resilient and growing crypto ecosystem in Canada.

By integrating Bitbuy’s services with Localcoin's ATMs, WonderFi is paving the way for a more accessible and widespread adoption of cryptocurrencies among Canadians.
