Voting on XChainBridge Amendment
The XChainBridge public amendment, crucial for the EVM sidechain launch, is currently open for voting. With 7 out of the necessary 28 validator votes already cast, this development is a pivotal step towards enhancing the XRP Ledger.
Upgrades and Audits
Peersyst has made substantial advancements, completing a second audit following the initial one with Bishop Fox. The latest upgrades include a blockchain update to the Cosmos SDK, allowing validators to vote on incorporating Cosmos version 0.47 and Ethereum's EIP3855.
Enhancing Token Bridging
A new bridge version is underway, enabling automatic bridging of existing tokens on the EVM sidechain to the XRP Ledger. This innovation will allow the sidechain to act as a gateway, enhancing transaction capabilities and utilizing XRP Ledger Mainnet functionalities.

XRP Ledger developers have released rippled 2.0, featuring XLS-38 Cross-Chain Bridge and XLS-40 Decentralized Identity. The Cross-Chain Bridge enables seamless movement of XRP and tokens between the XRPL Mainnet and sidechains, including the EVM sidechain.
