On November 9, Optimism developers jvmi and Kelvin Fichter introduced the Magic Mirror app. This innovative tool enables NFT holders to copy or "mirror" their Optimism NFTs to the Ethereum mainnet. Previously, NFTs from Optimism could not be used in verified applications like Twitter's NFT badge system, which only supported Ethereum Layer 1 NFTs.
Expanding NFT Utility
Twitter's NFT badge feature, launched in January, allows users to verify ownership of their digital art and display it as a profile picture with a distinctive hexagonal shape. However, this feature was exclusive to Ethereum mainnet NFTs, excluding holders from other networks such as Optimism, Polygon, or Avalanche.
