This surge in transactions included a single transfer of 750 million DOGE, worth approximately $148 million, as reported by Whale Alert. The meme coin's price saw a 7.65% rebound following a nearly 12% drop on Thursday, though it later declined by 5%.
Analyst Ali Martinez warned that DOGE could face a correction to $0.015 if it loses support at $0.19. Currently, DOGE trades at $0.19660. The cryptocurrency's price movements closely followed Bitcoin, which rose 6% after President Trump's executive order on a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve but then fell 5%. Despite the order, the U.S. government clarified it won't purchase additional Bitcoin, holding onto its existing 198,200 BTC stash.
The announcement also excluded XRP, ADA, and SOL from the reserve, clarifying they were merely examples of top cryptocurrencies. This news contributed to broader market volatility, impacting DOGE and other cryptocurrencies.
