The first trade was executed on March 16 between FalconX and StoneX, marking a significant milestone in institutional adoption of Solana derivatives.
The introduction of SOL futures expands CME Group's regulated cryptocurrency product suite, providing investors with capital-efficient tools to manage risk and execute hedging strategies. These cash-settled contracts are based on the CME CF Solana-Dollar Reference Rate, calculated daily at 4:00 p.m. London time.
